The input signal with the MIDI controller is in mono and looks weak. In the other two instrument tracks, MIDI notes are being input during recording but I hear nothing at all during recording OR playback using either the MIDI controller or the virtual keyboard. However, MIDI notes only record to track if I use the MIDI controller, not Kontakt's virtual keyboard. The input signal is in stereo and looks healthy. Result: Using either the virtual keyboard in Kontakt or my MIDI controller, I can trigger the correct instrument sound in Track 1 (Drums, MIDI 1). In Reaper: All instrument tracks' MIDI Inputs set to All MIDI Inputs, All Channels. (This is the only way I can get the virtual keyboard to play the right instrument when I have the appropriate track selected in Reaper.) Each instrument is set to open a new instance of Kontakt. In Kontakt: Each of three instruments set to MIDI channels 1, 2 and 3. I can get drums consistently on Track 1 regardless of what my Input settings are in Reaper. Well I thought I'd figured it out but today it's not working.

I now need to learn how to route instruments in Kontakt through its mixer and from there to Reaper, as I haven't gotten my head round that. These measures at least produced the desired result. I also discovered I needed to double click on the MIDI editor window in order to change the MIDI channel for each track. I deleted the tracks I had originally created and started again using the "Insert New Virtual Instrument Track" command. Answer (can i use the Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter with iphone 7) is it waterproof/water resistant. Sounds great Answered by Casey W from Laramie.

OK, I've had some success getting each track in Reaper to play the correct instrument in Kontakt. Yes I am doing that right now with my iPhone 7. and all my keyboard triggers in Kontakt are the drum instruments, even when I remove drums from Kontakt! I'm just not getting this Input/Channel/Mixer relationship between Reaper and Kontakt at all. I'm trying to follow the instructions in your Reaper forums thread but I'm using the current version of Reaper and I can't correlate your images to what I see on screen. I then set editor to Ch2 (organ) but I still hear drums.? Then in MIDI editor I set to MIDI Ch1 and hear drum sounds from the keyboard.
